How many times do we listen to our customer’ stories (complaints are stories too) and fail to put ourselves in their shoes? I don’t have a scientifically derived figure, but i think we can agree on ‘most of the time.’
Successful products occur at the intersection of market need, technical capabilities and business acumen. Market need can only be discerned when we can see the problem from the customers’ viewpoints.
Don‘t let your experience and preconceived notions prevent you from fully entering your customer’s world.
